Lady Gaga and the Indonisian Monsters

I am not a big Lady Gaga fan. To my ears, she DOES sound like the 1980/90s Warmed Over with the sexuality cranked up and a heavy smattering of nightmarish weirdness thrown in, at least as far as the videos go.

There are certainly far worse acts currently recording on major labels these days... and there are certainly very few who are starring in videos as interesting as those being produced to support Gaga's releases, but Old Fogie that I am, I still lean toward Madonna, Ace of Base, and Eurythmics in my tastes. I will grant, though, that Lady Gaga does have a sound that's larger and more epic than any of those acts she reminds me of.

However, I reflexively support any artist who is shut down by bigoted religious zealots and indifferent law enforcement establishments who allow them to get away with their campaigns of intimidation, violence and murder. So, therefore, this week, I am a supporter and fan of Lady Gaga, because her Indonisia concert, which was to have taken place this Sunday, June 3 in Jakarta, was cancelled because Muslim Maniacs threatened murder and mayhem. Over 50,000 tickets were sold in advance for the concert. And all it took were a few assholes intent on forcing what passes for their values on others to cancel it.

Here's her special message to the "Little Monsters" in Indonisia, and to the government forces that claim to be secular yet who allow barbarians straight out of the 13th century to dictate what concerts they can and cannot go to. You can read in the article that Mohammed Moussaoui, president of the French Council for the Muslim Faith (CFCM), said he "firmly condemned" the arson attack if it proved criminal. That begs the question, Mr. Henry Samuel of "The Telegraph," since we can't be sure if you got this guy's statement right since you only quoted two words, when is a Molotov cocktail thrown through a window not criminal?)

And if Mr. Henry Samuel of the Telegraph DID quote him accurately, is it an insult to the Prophet Mohammed (may pizza be upon him) if you're a dumb-ass while sporting His name? If this is the case, would it be criminal to firebomb Mohammed Moussaoui home?

Nonetheless... "Allah's Curse" once again appears to be helped along by idol-worshiping psychopaths. At least this time, they didn't murder anyone.

Samir Khan also killed in Yemen today

According to the AP, Samir Khan, editor of English language online al-Qaeda fanzine "Inspire", was killed by a missile strike at the same gay outing as Anwar al-Alwaki.

The article refers to "Inspire" as a "slick Western-style internet publickation."

I wonder: Has that journalist SEEN any issues of "Inspire"? I've read three, and it seems to me that Khan deserved killing not just for being a terrorist asshole, but also for his many obscene crimes against layout standards.

Now, if we get word that the Adam Gadahn has also been killed, then this will be a banner day in ridding the world of American traitors (and just sons-of-bitches in general).
